About the event
We’re thrilled to invite you to an exciting and enriching experience that blends language learning with cultural exploration: a special film festival designed just for Spanish learners like you!
This festival features three captivating films—Aventurera (Adventuress), El espíritu de la colmena (The Spirit of the Beehive), and Nueve reinas (Nine Queens)—each offering a unique window into the cultures, histories, and societies of Mexico, Spain, and Argentina. These films will immerse you in authentic dialogue while giving you deeper insights into the social dynamics and historical moments that have shaped these countries.
To ensure you get the most out of each film, we’ll begin with an introductory session that highlights key vocabulary and phrases specific to each film, as well as cultural context related to the country and historical period depicted. This way, you’ll be able to follow along more easily and better understand the nuances of the language and culture.
