About Me
Meet Rocio—a passionate leader, finance expert, and proud advocate for the Hispanic community. As Treasurer of the Edmonton Hispanic Bilingual Association (EHBA), she brings over 15 years of experience as a senior finance and accounting manager, ensuring the organization thrives. But her role goes beyond numbers—she’s dedicated to building a strong, connected, and vibrant community.
Originally from Lima, Peru, Rocio has proudly called Edmonton home for over 19 years. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Administration from Peru and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Alberta, Canada. As part of EHBA’s leadership, she plays a vital role in managing operations, organizing events, and fostering a strong bilingual community. She also leads the Saturday Conversation Club, a dynamic space where language meets culture, and friendships flourish.
Beyond her professional and community contributions, Rocio is an artist at heart. She has a deep passion for furniture renovation, flipping, and building unique pieces that blend creativity with craftsmanship. She loves working with details, transforming ordinary items into stunning new creations. When she’s not immersed in finance or community work, you’ll find her bringing old furniture back to life, exploring design, and embracing new creative challenges.
Passionate about travel, Rocio thrives on exploring new cultures and experiences. She proudly embraces her Peruvian roots and Canadian identity, bringing her love for traditional food, customs, and community spirit to Edmonton.
"Confidence unlocks your potential, travel expands your world, and creating something new brings life to your soul."
